The mission of the Cherry Hill Public Library is to create community, honor equity, be people focused, and to promote lifelong learning. Their seed library: 1. Encourages the community to dig in and garden; 2. Reconnects the community to the traditions of growing tasty, healthy food; 3. Educates the community about growing, harvesting, and saving seeds; 4. Creates a community-sustained seed collection at the Library; 5. And, provides information, instruction, and education about sustainable gardening.
Seed libraries provide important physical and informational resources so that members of the community can learn and practice in growing their own food.
