Loveland Youth Gardeners works to provide local youth with opportunities to develop their social, emotional and vocational skills through engagement with nature and gardening activities. Their programs are rooted in horticulture therapy and are focused on providing youth with the time and space to develop their skills and benefit from the therapeutic elements of gardening.
Another important aspect of their programming revolves around providing youth participants with cooking and nutrition education as well as bringing awareness to the value of the produce that we harvest. Youth also engage in community service activities including donating produce to the local food pantry and other organizations who offer free meals and food goods to those in need.
