Plants 4 the People is founded on the idea that food has the power to heal, educate, and connect people. Their mission is to educate, promote, and sustain a strong community through engaging with what is in their garden and on their plates. Many people don’t have the means or the knowledge to engage in healthy eating habits, let alone cultivate their own produce.
This organizations aims to connect the community and schools to engage with their food, and equip the local community to enjoy the process of growing their own food. They donate to local food pantries, as well as local community organizations. Their primary focus is to help youth engage in the planning and process of growing their own produce and creating healthy dishes with the items they grow.
