Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation: Glenwood Fresh Market
The Glenwood Fresh Market, located at 2915 Glenwood Avenue, will provide free fresh and healthy produce to people living below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines in order to improve health outcomes. Since 2009, Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) has been working to revitalize neighborhoods throughout the city. The goal has been to create neighborhoods that increase quality of life for its community members.
The Glenwood Corridor has seen many positive changes throughout the past few years, but the realization that the area was lacking a market with fresh fruits and vegetables has been a growing concern. Fresh Market’s goal is to serve at least 2000 members, providing an opportunity for healthy changes that will impact our members.
