Community Garden Planters

Danville, KY
A small group of community gardeners in zone 6B Danville, Kentucky that wanted to grow fresh produce in their community. They formed a committee and set out to form their group. The community got excited about the idea and they were able to find land in the middle of downtown so people could see the garden, visit often, and pick fresh produce when they want to at no cost.

Some of their mission include teaching leadership skills, giving youth opportunities to give back to the community, connecting youth with the environment, promoting sustainable agriculture skills, and teaching others to grow food for themselves.
