Honey Rock Melon
Honey Rock Melon
Honey Rock Melon (Cucumis melo) is a vigorous cantaloupe that produces 5-7 melons per vine. 6" melons have a thick outer skin with coarse netting protecting sweet tender salmon-colored flesh. Seed packet contains 1.5 G (about 50 seeds).
Homegrown melons have a delicious flavor and sweetness not found at the grocery store. Enjoy the fruits of your garden. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Sow directly into soil that's at least 70°F. For a head start in cooler climates, start indoors 2-4 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Do not disturb tender roots when transplanting. Thin down to 2-3 plants per hill. Keep soil moist but well-drained. Allow plenty of room for vines to spread.
