Partnering with other organizations, Cottage Grove Public Library wants to provide seeds, knowledge and space to grow food to fight food insecurity. Seeds and classes are provided to visitors free of charge. The library also partners with several community organizations focused on reducing food insecurity and teaching/sharing growing and preserving skills.

Seed libraries provide important physical and informational resources so that members of the community can learn and practice in growing their own food.
