Isles Inc. is a nationally recognized non-profit community development and environmental improvement organization working with distressed communities in greater Trenton, New Jersey. Their mission is to increase the self-sufficiency of families and help create healthy, sustainable communities. Isles provides support for over seventy community and school gardens in the Isles Garden Support Network.
Each garden addresses immediate issues such as hunger and environmental degradation and promotes interaction and understanding among city residents of diverse backgrounds as they make a healthier and safer community. Additionally, they work with gardeners to donate produce to emergency food providers.
