Chicken Bone Broth with Fresh Herbs

Don't forget this key ingredient for homemade bone broth!!

Fresh Herbs!

Fresh herbs add essential flavor and nutrients to broth that you just can't get anywhere else.

For this reason, I always have herbs like rosemary, thyme, and sage growing indoors in the winter!

I make my broth in an Instant Pot. I find it easier and much faster than on the stove. Here's the recipe I made after looking at several options and choosing my favorite herbs and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Bones from 1 Rotisserie Chicken

  • 2 Medium Carrots - peeled & cut in half

  • 3 Celery ribs

  • 1 Large Onion - cut into chunks

  • 6 Cloves Garlic - chopped

  • Fresh Herbs -  Rosemary, Sage, & Thyme

  • 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • Water - enough to cover about 3/4 of chicken & vegetables

Put all ingredients in the Instant Pot.

Put the lid on and turn the pressure valve to “seal” or “closed.”

Set Instant Pot to manual high pressure and set the time for 120 minutes.

When the timer goes off, let the slow release go for around 30 minutes.

Allow the liquid to cool, and then pour through a strainer.
