Golden Globe Beet (Beta vulgaris) is a rich gold beet that does not bleed when cut or cooked. Exceptionally mild and sweet, without the earthiness of red beets. Globes reach 3" in diameter. Seed packet contains 1.5 G (about 90 seeds).
The roots of this plant are amazing in salads and other dishes. The taste is sweet and delicious, and are amazing when roasted or pickled. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Recommended: 4 weeks before last expected spring frost, sow directly outside in deep, fertile, evenly moist soil. Can also be started in cold frame or indoors 5-6 weeks earlier. Do not disturb tap root when transplanting.
