Burgundy Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) is so gorgeous, it can double as an ornamental. With with deep crimson red pods and gorgeous yellow flowers, this variety of okra is a prolific producer, drought and heat tolerant, and loved by pollinators. Seed packet contains 3 G (about 60 seeds).

Soak overnight or scarify seeds by nicking the hard seed coat to improve germination. Start indoors 3-4 weeks before setting out to transplant. Take care not to disturb roots. Or, for direct seeding, sow outside after soil has warmed to 70°.
