Garden Time - Provides prison-based educational programs teaching incarcerated men and women how to cultivate gardens and grow food for their own economic and personal well-being and self-reliance. Pre-employment programs teach practical skills and knowledge relevant to agriculture, landscaping, and other green industries as well as workforce skills necessary for any future job. Their programs foster education, inspiration, and empowerment, helping trainees translate new skills into successful and permanent reentry into society. The Green Reentry Job Training Program teaches formerly incarcerated Rhode Islanders as well.
