In mild climates, sow directly outdoors in autumn. Otherwise, start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Soak seeds overnight or scarify coating to improve germination rates. Harden seedlings once they have 2-3 sets of leaves and transplant once soil can be easily worked.
