A traditional Italian classic, Di Cicco Broccoli (Brassica oleracea) produces numerous, small to medium-sized heads. Pinching the heads produces a large yield of side-shoots well into summer. Seed packet contains 750 MG (about 275 seeds).

The lovely blue-green heads are mild, tender and sweet. The side shoots are even sweeter. Broccoli is perfect eaten raw, roasted, steamed and added to stir fries and soups. The stems are excellent in stir fries and casseroles, and the leaves can also be eaten like you would kale. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.

Start indoors 4-6 weeks before planting outside. May also be sown directly outdoors in late summer for a fall crop. Plant in well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Keep well-watered for consistent growth.
