Creeping Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) offers an excellent ground cover that withstands light foot traffic. Delicate lavender flowers and small round leaves give off a pleasing aroma when walked on. Easy to grow; hardy perennial. Wild flowers attract bees and butterflies.

Plant indoors 8-10 weeks before setting out after last frost. Lightly press seeds into growing medium and barely cover with soil. Keep moist until germination. Move to individual containers after 4 true leaves appear. Transplant outdoors in sunny spot with well-drained soil.
