This variety of Green Garnet Amaranth reaches 6' tall or more and adds beauty to your garden and nutrition to your kitchen. The leaves are edible cooked or raw. The flower seed heads can be harvested as grain or left on the plant to feed the birds.

Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date, or direct seed outside after all danger of frost is past. Keep seedlings and transplants evenly moist but not overly wet. Set out in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. Harvest seed heads once they begin to brown. Cut and place in paper bag to dry completely. Shake bag to separate grain.
