This variety of Rutabaga is a reliable producer. American Purple Top rutabagas develop 5-6 inch roots with purple tops. The creamy yellow flesh has a mild, sweet flavor and tender texture.
Seed packet contains 1g (about 360 seeds). Enjoy rutabaga in stews, soups and stir-fries. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Sow directly outside in early spring or late fall in a sunny location with loose fertile well-draining soil. Thin when plants reach 4" tall.
