Oriental poppy (Papaver orientale) boasts brightly colored crepe paper flowers that reach 4" in diameter on plants 30 to 40 inches. Blooms in spring to early summer and goes dormant until foliage reappears in fall. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. This perennial plant readily self seeds and is an ideal flower for cool winter climates.
