This member of the mint family (Nepeta Cataria) is a famous pet-friendly perennial. Nepetalactone oil in the leaves stimulates pet’s pheromone receptors and gives them a sense of euphoria and intense happiness. Dried leaves also make a wonderful herbal tea for humans.

Seed packet contains 300 MG (about 550 seeds). Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.

Tricky to germinate because a good percentage of the seeds need the cold and wet of winter to break dormancy. Overcome this by cold stratifying the seeds for 4 to 6 weeks or start them indoors in ideal conditions and use plenty of seed. Prefers moderate moisture in well-drained soil. Pinch back when flower buds appear to extend harvest.
