Japanese Minowase Radish (Raphanus sativus) has giant white roots with a sweet, mild flavor and crispy texture. It grows up to 24" long but retains a mild flavor. This Japanese radish is heat tolerant and can be sown in summer for a winter radish. Sauteed or roasted, the radish flavor is significantly more mellow. With as few as 25 days from sowing to harvest, this vegetable is a great choice for children to plant and grow.
