This 6 pound pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) has a beautiful frosty texture on the skin that makes it valuable as a striking ornamental. The flesh of this pie pumpkin is sweet and smooth, excellent for eating. 105 days to maturity. Seed packet contains 5 G (about 26 seeds).
This healthy vegetable is wonderful roasted, grilled, baked or puréed. Make sweet breads, cakes, cookies and pies, or go savory with risottos, pastas, casseroles and more. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
