Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) is a perennial low-growing ground cover that will spread via rhizomes. Daisy-like blossoms are dried and for medicinal purposes. Tolerates light foot traffic.
This herb is super easy to grow and has many benefits. The dried flowers/leaves make a popular herbal tea that is very soothing before bedtime.
Start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before transplanting outside (when danger of frost has passed). Barely cover seeds as they require light for germination. Keep the soil surface moist. Could be grown indoors if given sufficient light. Gather leaves and flowers when in full bloom to make tea.
