Dwarf Siberian Improved Kale (Brassica oleracea) is a Russian heirloom variety that produces lovely, slightly ruffled leaves. Dwarf Siberian is a productive plant and is hardy against frost, and it keeps on producing long after other kales have bolted. It is also perfect for growing in containers and small spaces. Seed packet contains 750 MG (about 275 seeds).
Kale is incredibly nutritious and makes wonderful fresh salads. It is also tasty simmered in soups and stews, or added to stir fries, smoothies, sauteed and more. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Sow indoors 4-6 weeks early in cell flats or sow direct outdoors. Plant 2-3 seeds per flat and thin to 1 plant. Transplant to a sunny spot with rich, well-drained soil.
