Giant Caesar Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) lives up to its name, producing a large loose-leaf type romaine head with beautiful green leaves growing up to 14" long and 8" wide. The dark green leaves have a tender texture like a butterhead lettuce, with the succulent flavor of romaine. A carefully selected variety to grow outdoors in the garden planted in the spring or fall. Prefers a bit of shade in hot summer weather. Can also be grown indoors during winter under lights or in hydroponics system. Seed packet contains 600 MG (about 550 seeds).
A leaf of freshly cut lettuce is so much tastier than a plastic-wrapped salad kit. Grow your own and enjoy gourmet salads. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
