Little Gem Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a delightful miniature Romaine style lettuce that's fun and easy to grow. Savoyed outer leaves hide a dense, blanched hearts. Heads are 4" across and 4-6" height when mature. A carefully selected variety to grow outdoors in the garden planted in the spring or fall. Prefers a bit of shade in hot summer weather. Can also be grown indoors during winter under lights or in hydroponics system. Seed packet contains 500 MG (about 650 seeds).
