Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) is an extremely popular perennial herb with delicate needle-shaped evergreen leaves and small white flowers. Use fresh or dried for a multitude of culinary delights. Grows well in pots and indoors so that you can always have fresh thyme on hand. Seed packet contains 100 MG (about 3600 seeds).
This herb is super easy to grow and has many benefits. Fresh Thyme is an essential ingredient for making many dishes with Italian seasoning such as spaghetti sauce. It adds abundant flavor to pork roast, baked Haddock, lamb chops, roasted vegetables, and chowder. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Start indoors 8 to 10 weeks before last frost. Barely cover with soil and keep moist (not soggy) until germination. Once 3-4 inches tall, clip growth tips to encourage branching. Harvest often to encourage new growth.
