This variety of Parsnip is a German heirloom also known as Halblange Weisse. This classic parsnip variety has 10-inch long tapering roots with a sweet, anise-like flavor. This easy-to-grow root vegetable is easy to harvest and stores well.
Seed packet contains 1g (about 300 seeds). Enjoy parsnips in stews, soups and stir-fries. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
In spring or fall, sow seeds outside in loose fertile soil. Parsnips need a long growing season, so don't delay planting. Sow 2-3 seeds per inch and thin to 3" apart once seedlings are 2" tall.
