Nettleleaf Horsemint (Agastache urticifolia) is a North American native perennial that grows in rocky woodlands and mountainous regions. This wild mint is highly aromatic, with spikes of flowers in pink and lavender that are highly attractive to native bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Seed packet contains 200 MG (about 400 seeds).
Horsemint leaves are easy to grow and add variety to your kitchen. Fresh or dried leaves create lovely herbal tea both hot and iced. Try some in your lemonade for a cooling, refreshing taste. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Direct sow in late fall for spring germination, or cold stratify for two weeks prior to planting in spring. Barely cover seeds with soil and keep moist until germination. Plant outdoors in a sunny spot with good drainage.
