Blue Hopi Corn (Zea mays) has gorgeous blue-black ears with reddish-purple tassels that will be a standout in your summer garden! Drought-tolerant and high-yielding, this cultivar is vigorous and performs well even in harsh conditions. Standard seed packet contains 13 g (about 45 seeds). Jumbo packet contains 1 oz (about 85 seeds).

Young ears can be eaten fresh, but flour made from mature Blue Hopi ears creates exceptionally tasty blue corn tortillas, chips and cornbread. You can also use the unique blue corn on the cob as a fall decoration! Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.

Sow outside when all danger of frost has passed and soil is warm. May also be started indoors 3-4 weeks early in a sterile medium. Cultivate soil deeply before planting in blocks of 3-6 rows to encourage good pollination.

Days to germination: 7-14
Planting depth: 1"
Plant Spacing: 8-12"
Soil Temperature: 65 -75° F
Light Requirements: Full Sun
