Cocozelle Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo) is a gorgeous Italian heirloom bush-style variety with attractively striped fruits. This highly productive variety has dark and light green striping. Although it can grow quite large, harvest at 6-8" for the best flavor and texture. Seed packet contains 3.5 G (about 30 seeds).

On its own, fresh zucchini squash is delicious sauteed in butter with a little garlic. But it is also a wonderful addition to Italian lasagna, Asian stir fries, Middle Eastern curry, sweet breads and even pancakes. So many ways to use this versatile vegetable. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors

Sow outdoors after frost is past in rich soil after soil temperature is consistently 65-70°. Can also be started indoors 3-4 weeks earlier. Plant in hills or rows for good drainage. When seeds reach 3-4", thin to 1 plant per hill.

Days to germination:  7-14
Planting depth: 1"
Plant Spacing: 24 - 36"
Soil Temperature: 65-80°F
Light Requirements: Full Sun
