You can garnish your baked potatoes, pizza, salads, and so much more - even the blossoms of the chive plant are tasty! Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Seed can be sown as soon as ground warms. Prefers a rich soil. Harvest can begin after 4 weeks but leave plenty for regrowth. Both flowers and leaves are edible. Divide clumps every third year. Remove seed head to prevent self-sown seeds from spreading.
