German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) has sweet-smelling daisy-like flowers that bloom all summer. Grows up to 24" tall. German Chamomile is an annual variety but it freely self sows. If you plant it once, chances are that it will spring up each season. Seed packet contains 200 MG (about 1575 seeds).
This herb is super easy to grow and has many benefits. The dried flowers/leaves make a popular herbal tea that is very soothing before bedtime. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
Start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before transplanting outside (when danger of frost has passed). Barely cover seeds as they require light for germination. Keep the soil surface moist. Prefers well-drained, sandy soil; rich soil can cause poor flower production.
