Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is an old-timey favorite snap bean introduced in 1864 in Kentucky. The 7" bean pods are stringless when harvested early and have a tender texture and reliable flavor. Keep plants watered consistently. Standard seed packet contains 7 g (about 40 seeds). Jumbo packet contains 2 oz (about 170 seeds).
Beans make a delicious and refreshing garden snack. They are great sauteed with other vegetables, as an ingredient in casseroles, or eaten raw. Try frozen or canned. Large, premium seed packets give instructions on how to grow and when to plant outdoors.
