Scarlet Nantes Carrot (Daucus carota) has bright red-orange fine-grained brittle flesh and is nearly coreless with a fine very sweet flavor. Averages 7" long. Short 10 to 12" tops. Colors up early for baby carrots. This is a carefully selected variety that grows well planted outdoors in the spring or fall in zone 3 - 12. Standard seed packet contains 800 mg (about 600 seeds). Jumbo packet contains 7 g (about 5,000 seeds).
