Kohlrabi (Brassica oleracea) has pale green cruciferous bulbs and edible leaves grow above the ground. Tender, white flesh has a mild flavor. Best harvested when bulbs reach 2-3" across. Seed packet contains 750 MG (about 275 seeds).

Kohlrabi prefers mild weather and can withstand light frost, so plant in early spring or fall. Sow directly outdoors as soon as soil can be worked, or start indoors 3-4 weeks early for transplanting.
